One woman's journey into the development of the Shiloh Shepherd Dog

This book gives the reader a good look behind the scenes, at what it takes to actually develop a new breed. This book is not just about a dog, but all of the dogs that contributed their genes to make a mark on the real Shiloh Shepherd for decades to come!

This book tells the complete story, starting with the memories Tina brought back from Germany and her experiences with the many variations of the GSD in America, which led to her desire to produce better hips and larger dogs for her training program. The book shares her disappointments with some of the litters she was producing and about many of the dogs she was raising and training. It walks the reader right into her testimony and the pact she made with the Lord in 1974. From that point on it covers the trials and triumphs that she had to deal with along that road, sort of like the Biblical exodus through the wilderness. The reader will be witness to the battles that she had to deal with in the Promised Land, since the formation of the ISSR and SSDCA. The book paints the truth about her friendships and the betrayals she had to endure.

This book not only shares short stories about some of the dogs that set the foundation for this breed, but it also covers things that have never been revealed before. It's an emotional roller coaster that takes you on an unusual, rare journey; it is a book that people will have a hard time putting down until they finish the story! And yet it's not fully finished. All the Shiloh breeders are still living it, and many people will want to watch them as the journey continues toward this breed’s full recognition. Like a marathon race, those that are not running it will still want to see what happens at the finish line.

You will cheer on the breeders of Shiloh Shepherds as you read this book, and will develop a kindred spirit for the REAL Shiloh Shepherd. You will laugh with Tina and her breeders, cry with them, and when you are finished reading the truth—STAND with them!
